Taiwan: DelSolar to Proceed with 900 MW Cell and Module Manufacturing
Plant
The
Board of DelSolar has approved the construction of a new manufacturing
plant in Jhunan, Taiwan. The HsinChu Science Park Administration
has already approved DelSolar’s proposed rental of 1.8 hectares
of land for the construction of a new plant.
The
new plant will be used for manufacture of solar cells and modules.
The estimated total cost of the construction of the new plant
and operation facilities and purchase of new equipment is NTD
9,260,000,000. Upon completion, Jhunan plant’s capacity is estimated
to be 900 MW.
The
Board also approved the Operations Report and Financial Statements
for 2009. Total revenue was NTD 4,309,477 thousand, the net loss
was NTD 135,604 thousand, and the value of each share was NTD
-0.92.
