Wuxi, China: Suntech Signs Polysilicon and Wafer Supply Agreements with GCL Silicon. Suntech Power has signed new supply agreements with GCL Silicon Technology. Under the terms of the supply agreements, GCL Silicon will supply Suntech with 9,420 MT of polysilicon and 1.1 GW of silicon wafers from 2008 to 2012.

Changzhou, China: Trina Solar Expands Polysilicon Purchase Contract with GCL Silicon. Trina Solar today announced that its subsidiary, Changzhou Trina Solar Energy Co., Ltd., has signed a supplemental agreement to the long-term polysilicon supply agreement with a subsidiary of GCL Silicon Technology.

Hamburg, Germany: MEMC and Conergy Amend Solar Wafer Supply Contract. MEMC Electronic Materials, Inc. and Conergy have amended their 10-year wafer supply contract. The sales volume of the contract has been adjusted to approximately $ 4 billion compared to $ 7-8 billion in the original agreement.

Constance, Germany: Sunways to Expand Cell Supply to Solarwatt. Constance based Sunways AG, will supply SOLARWATT AG, Dresden, with solar cells from 2009 onwards. The prepayment contract has a five year term and relates to a total quantity of 155 to 160 megawatts of mono and multicrystalline solar cells.

Waterloo, ON , Canada: ARISE Technologies Signs Six-Year Wafer Supply Agreement. ARISE Technologies Deutschland GmbH has signed a six-year agreement with a wholly owned subsidiary of ReneSola Ltd to supply ARISE with 203.5 MW of silicon wafers.

Ghent, Belgium: Enfinity Signs Framework Agreement with SunPower Corporation. Enfinity, a developer of renewable energy projects, has entered into a framework agreement with SunPower Corporation for solar electric power plant projects totaling more than 25 megawatts.
