Germany: Solar-Fabrik Reports Third Quarter 2009 Results
Solar-Fabrik
AG has reported 3rd quarter net results of 2.120 million euros
- or 2.489 million euros EBIT - corresponding to 0.19 EUR earnings
per share.
Corporate
revenues for the first nine months were 89.016 million euros (previously
129.626 million euros) with a corresponding EBIT from the continuing
business segments (Solar Power Systems and Solar Cells) of -1.152
million euros (previously -0.848 million euros).
The
total net result of the first nine months, incl. all segments,
particularly including those discontinued or divested, is -7.309
million euros (previously 2.475 million euros).
The
revenue in the business segment “Solar Power Systems” reached
89.016 million euros (previously 129.184 million euros) with September
30, 2009. The corresponding segment result of -1.901 million euros
(previously -0.906 million euros) has improved by 2.199 million
euros compared to the six months result. This is the best quarterly
result ever for the Solar Power Systems segment. Solar-Fabrik
anticipates similar results for the forth and remaining quarter.
The
“Solar Cells” business segment reported net results of 0.865 million
euros (previously -0.022 million euros) with further improvements
anticipated for the rest of the year. Financial returns on solar
investments have become extremely attractive after the early 2009
price erosion.
Solar-Fabrik
says the market has particularly requested PV modules “made in
Germany” since mid year. In order to satisfy the surging demand
Solar-Fabrik has ramped up all three production sites to full
three-shift operation. With its focus on further sustainable success
Solar-Fabrik is working on productivity improvements combined
with strategic sourcing as well as establishing its brand in emerging
markets.
