Escondido, CA, USA: enXco Announces Power Purchase Agreement for Solar Project

enXco, an EDF Energies Nouvelles Company, has been contracted to develop, construct, own and operate a 1.8 megawatt DC solar photovoltaic array in an agreement with Hall's Corporation in South Plainfield, New Jersey. When completed, the solar array will be one of the largest net-metered installations in the United States.

enXco will own and operate the system and supply the project's output to Hall's Corporation under a Power Purchase Agreement on a net-metering basis. enXco will begin construction shortly and expects the project will produce energy in early November 2008.

The roof mounted fixed tilt solar array, to be built on Hall's Warehouses located on Kentile Road, will consist of approximately 25,000 First Solar modules deployed from EDF EN's global supply agreement with First Solar. 1.3 MW will be installed at the 501 Kentile Road facility with the remaining panels on 601 Kentile Road. The installation is estimated to save Hall's Corp. $1 million in energy costs over the life of the project. The project will qualify for New Jersey Renewable Energy Credits which are essential to the economics of the project.

Atlantic Solar Assets, a subsidiary of Clean Energy Holdings co-developed the project with Vanguard Energy Partners, LLC as the installer. Peter Solomon, Senior Manager Distributed Solar for enXco stated "enXco is excited to work with Hall's on this important project, and to help the state of New Jersey in meeting its renewable energy goals. We are also proud to work with our New Jersey based partners, and look forward to future solar development opportunities in the state."

William Jayne III, owner of Hall's with brothers Bruce and Dale, stated "I am extremely pleased with the results of our first two solar installations consisting of 1.4 MW and therefore have decided to continue to further reduce our carbon footprint with the new 1.8 MW installation."
