Germany: Phönix SonnenStrom AG Appoints Head of Marketing and
Customer Service
Phönix
SonnenStrom AG has appointed an experienced manager as its head
of Marketing and Customer Service in Darren Thomson (38). The
tasks of the native-born Englishman will include positioning the
Phönix brand in the German and international market. He will also
prepare and oversee the market entry of the company in Europe
and abroad.
Darren
Thompson studied applied physics and laser technology in England
and can look back on almost 15 years experience working for the
Shell Group. He spent six years in research and subsequently nine
years in different areas of marketing; his most recent job in
the company was in strategic marketing.
In

United Kingdom. As from October 2001, he worked for Shell Solar
in Amsterdam, and then moved to Munich in 2003 to take on the
job of marketing manager for Europe. The experience he gained
through project work in the USA and Japan has given him extensive
knowledge of PV markets outside Europe as well.
“In
recent years, Phönix SonnenStrom has developed exceptionally well.
I really like the atmosphere here at Phönix and I am looking forward
to making my contribution to the future growth of the company.
With such a highly motivated marketing team, we will have a lot
of fun in working to achieve this goal”, was Darren Thompson’s
comment.
“With
Darren Thompson’s help, we want to ensure that the Phönix brand
is optimally placed in the global market. We are convinced that
his experience will reinforce our position and that he will contribute
towards optimising our customer loyalty", commented Dr. Murray
Cameron, Chief Operations Officer at Phönix SonnenStrom AG.
