Munich, Germany: CentroSolar Group Releases 2008 Results

Based on provisional calculations, Centrosolar Group AG posted record levels of revenue and earnings for the 2008 financial year. Consolidated revenue showed above-target growth of more than 50 % in 2008, to €331.8 million (2007: €220.3 million).

The company had started the year with target revenues of €310 million. Around 73 % of revenue was brought in by photovoltaic systems, which are sold to installers and mounted on roofs.

Key components for the solar industry, such as mounting systems for modules and solar glass, accounted for approx. 27 % of revenue. According to initial projections, the greater part of revenue was realized abroad.

EBITDA, too, showed a marked rise of 44 % to €21.6 million and was by and large able to meet the forecast of €22 million.

EBIT rose by a factor of approximately 2.5 to €12.2 million (2007: €4.8 million). The earnings after tax allocable to the shareholders tripled from €1.4 million to €3.9 million.
