Paris,
France: Enerqos Starts Construction on 290 kW BIPV System
Enerqos
France SAS has begun construction of a building-integrated photovoltaic
system (BIPV). This new installation, with a maximum power output
of 290 kWp, is currently being built at the Moissac-based logistics
hub of the French transport company SAS Satar and MERLE Transport
SA, located in the Tarn-et-Garonne region of Southwest France.
This
pioneering integration process is officially certified by two
organisations with regional expertise; the DRIRE / DREAL, French
ministerial building and environmental bodies. It was developed
by Enerqos ' Technical Group with the aim of regulating BIPV under
new legislation set out by the French authorities.
Connection
to the national grid is scheduled for September 2010.
"Our
operational developments are in line with the Group's internationalization
strategy, which involves the implementation of specific solutions
for different markets," said Marc Vogeleisen, Operations Director
at Enerqos France."
The
solution developed by Enerqos can be adapted to different types
of commercial roofing as well as industrial and agricultural structures
and is very interesting for the French market which offers particularly
enticing feed-in tariffs for building-integrated photovoltaic
systems," he added.
"In
France, architectural photovoltaic applications are emerging,
which allows the country to be a world leader in this field. Our
extensive experience in developing and building roof-top PV solutions,
combined with our ability to innovate, enables us to take up this
promising business opportunity," says Christian Deloffre, President
of Enerqos France SAS.
