Cypress,
CA, USA: Mitsubishi Electric Introduces New UD5 Series of Photovoltaic
Modules
Mitsubishi
Electric, one of the world's largest manufacturers and providers
of solar power technology, has introduced its new UD5 series of
100% lead-free solder PV modules. The UD5 series includes four
of the most in-demand power outputs, with new engineering for
optimal efficiency and reliability.
The
new 175, 180, 185 and 190Wp panels have new features and are lighter
in weight.
"A
quality PV system starts with the modules, and the UD5 series
is going to raise the bar for efficiency and ROI," said Gina Heng,
director of sales and marketing for Mitsubishi Electric & Electronics
USA's Photovoltaic Division. "With four sizes, our system integrators
can choose the most efficient panels for their customers. These
panels even save money before they're installed; because of their
lighter weight and packaging, more modules can be shipped using
fewer trucks and less fuel."
Among
the features of the UD5 series are:
Lighter weight: just 37 pounds per module for easier transport
and installation
A new protection bar on back of the module for additional support
Static load test of 5400 Pa with protection bar
+/- 3 Tolerance at Pmax
Additional holes in frame for better water drainage and less corrosion
Efficient packaging: 504 modules/28 pallets per 40 foot container
(18 modules per pallet)
CEC listing updated as of 8/2/07
Solid black frame structure
Mitsubishi
Electric's new UD5 modules will be on display in Booth 163 at
the Solar Power 2007 conference in Long Beach, Calif.
