Branchburg, NJ, USA: DT Solar Appoints Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

DT Solar, a Turner Renewable Energy Company, has named solar industry veteran Marc Roper as executive vice president of sales and marketing, effective April 2, 2007. In this capacity, Roper will lead DT Solar’s sales and marketing, external affairs, and spearhead the company’s expansion into the California distributed solar market. Roper brings more than 15 years of solar industry experience to DT Solar.

Before his most recent appointment, Roper was vice president of sales and marketing for photovoltaic manufacturer SCHOTT Solar, Inc., where he served as a member of the board of directors and was responsible for sales and marketing activities in North and South America.

Prior to joining SCHOTT in 2003, Roper served as manager of residential business for PV manufacturer AstroPower Inc., (now part of GE Energy) and manager for the State of Colorado’s Renewable Energy program. He began his career in the solar industry designing, installing and repairing solar energy systems in 1991. He holds bachelors and master’s degrees in engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
