Albuquerque NM, USA: UniRac Appoints Doug May as President and Chief Executive Officer

UniRac Inc. has named Doug May to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. He takes over for interim CEO and founder John Liebendorfer. UniRac Inc. designs and manufactures mounting structures for photovoltaic (PV) arrays.

“Doug brings UniRac the management experience and energy to continue the rapid growth we’ll need to stay relevant in the rapidly growing solar energy field,” said Liebendorfer. “Doug is capable, outward-looking executive. His knowledge of the markets and enthusiasm about the mission of solar energy makes him a great choice.”

“I’m very excited about the unique opportunity here at UniRac,” May told company employees Monday. “We are a known leader in the design and manufacturing of solar mounting structures with a solid and credible customer base. I’m looking forward to not only helping this team move forward and continue to grow, but to capitalize on new markets in the United States and abroad. John and the team have built a great foundation. It is up to us to leverage this into even bigger things in the future.”

May brings 20 years experience in high-tech industries and international markets with a focus on sales and marketing. The last three years as Vice President for Worldwide Sales and Marketing, he grew international sales for Xantrex Corporation of Vancouver, a world leader in advanced power systems, including electrical systems for solar power installations.

He gained experience as a general manager through vice presidencies in several California companies: Quantum, Autodesk, Fujitsu, and Marshall Industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Southern California.
